Support for International Bank Account Numbers to accept payments from abroad.
The help section already states that accounts do not currently have IBANs, so this is just to serve as a placeholder for users to vote on.
Bit crazy that a business acount doesn't have these features.
Urgent need of IBAN and BIC otherwise I will have choice to change to a main U.K. bank who supports :( I like the rest of the app though..
YES PLEASE!
This definitely needs to be a matter of urgency. I just opened my account and was really pleased with everything, but now it's going to be a bit pointless as all my payments come from abroad (Upwork, Fiverr, Paypal, overseas clients, Amazon). I'd say that having an IBAN/SWIFT number was a pretty basic feature. especially if we're going to be paying for this account each month very soon.
I too vote for this as I have customers that require IBAN and SWIFT details. Likewise I have international payments to make too.
I have not been able to use my account at all since I opened it, which was really disappointing because I like the app and the accounting features are really promising. I earn all my income as sole trader and all of the income is from abroad, so I just haven't been able to benefit from the app yet. As long as it can stay passive without cost I can wait, I guess, but if I was able to benefit it would even make sense to pay a reasonable monthly fee.
I am using TransferWise: http://bit.ly/trytransferwise
Took 5 minutes to set up and they are a LOT cheaper in processing international payments.I linked it with UP so just send money across as needed. Free bank card, multiple currencies.
We could really use an IBAN as soon as it’s available.
How do i vote on this? (IBAN setup?). Its really important to me to receive intl payments
I really want to support you guys, but you might lose me as a customer if I need to go through the pain of opening a mainstream bank account -
Busssinesses today are international, even if they are start-ups. My suppliers are all over the world. I am really dissapointed, I was about to open an account, Inreally liked what you offer, when I found this thread. I didn’t imagine that a bank in this century will not offer international payments/transfers. I think this is more urgent than all the other featyres you are working on...it is a basic needed one. I need to start full on in December and now I have to find another bank....
Definitely! I'm having clients pay in to my personal account and then transferring funds at the moment.
Oh no! I was so happy I just opened an account, useless with no IBAN, :( I need to go back Barclays :((((
i sell on amazon and i have just opened up an account with Countingup only to find out it doesn't have an IBAN numbers? this is pretty useless for me now..
I have just created an account but my clients are all over Europe, so I urgently need IBAN and SWIFT. I didn’t even think that a payment solution provider for Business in the UK does not offer international payments (in or out), otherwise I might have chosen another account. This is really important and urgent for a lot of small businesses !
I'm trying to include Amazon Affiliates as an income stream, but they require both IBAN and BIC numbers.
Transferwise seems like a solution, also heard of Payoneer as a possible solution.
Do we really need a vote here? The demand is obvious.
@Grant Finlayson: I’ve just signed up with Klarna who require Iban and Swift so this is a must for me now
@Grant Finlayson: Transferwise is a solution here that some of our other customers have used for Amazon. We haven't used Payoneer before so if you do end up trying them, please let us know how it goes!
Currently, there are 10 ideas with more votes than this one with 1 idea currently being developed and 2 more ideas in the planning stage. When we prioritise features for development, the votes they have are taken into account, so this would need a few more votes to bump it up the list!
@Michael Brooker: Please make sure to vote for it!
@Countingup: Absolutely YES I SUPPORT for introducing IBAN! IBAN is standard practice across the EU and I thought it was just an alternative way of identifying bank accounts. As I work internationally too I would definitely like to see IBAN here, otherwise this account is only half as useful for me and I would consider switching from it.
So what happens then if our clients are paying from abroad
@Michael Amos: Right now, the best workaround solution we have is using a service such as Transferwise (https://transferwise.com/).

Hi Abiodun, unfortunately we don't have an ETA on when this will be enabled. It is a bit of a tricky technical situation but we will keep you informed when we make progress!
@Countingup: any idea on the time frame please as i have a business i want to launch but require the iban and swift
@Michael Brooker: Our current focus is on delivering Invoicing and Expense Management features. Once they are done, and providing there is sufficient interest, we will be able to get started on the next set of features (possibly IBAN support).
Once that has happened then we will be able to give a time frame. I hope this helps!
Speaking from our point of view all our clients are abroad and IBAN support is incredibly important. Is there an ETA as to when this support will be enabled???
Good shout Daniel. As a work around something like transferwise.com can be used for international payments and their fees are low.
I really need it for woocommerce and client. Some client couldn't pay me because I don't have IBAN.
